Anycast DNS

Postby chip » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:07 am

Hey all,

I'm interested in playing around with an anycast DNS system and thought I'd see if anyone else is. I am working on getting a provider independent address space to play with (may be v6 only) or I may "borrow" some space from my employer or one of my ISPs to do some longest prefix routing as a test.

I got inspired after seeing this talk about a guy who operates an anycast DNS network for ~$480/yr.

I would also be interested in an anycast setup. I have a RIP/OSPF/BGP capable edge router but current have no other locations to route to. Maybe we can do some testing once I am up and running!
